Sir Richard C. Eze

Managing Director

 

 

Sir Richard Chukwunanu Eze assumed the duty of Managing Director of Dee Jones Petroleum and Gas Limited in the year 2001. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Master's Degree in Management.  He began his career in Jones Brothers and Company Limited, the Pharmaceutical subsidiary of The Jones Group where he rose to the position of General Manager. From 1991, he served as Eastern Regional Director of J. O. Eze & Sons, the hardware and specialty product arm of Jones Group where he was in charge of product procurement, trading and distribution.

In 1996, Sir Richard C. Eze moved to Diamond Dredging and Construction, a drilling waste management company, as the Director of Administration. He later ascended to the post of the Managing Director of Dee Jones Petroleum and Gas Limited at its incubation stages in 2001 and has steered the company through its growth processes. He is responsible for the management of the company, its assets and its people. He is responsible for meeting Dee Jones's obligations to its many clients. He is also responsible for ensuring fiscal discipline and driving business strategy in the organization.

 

 

 

Samuel C. Eze

Executive Director Strategy and Business Development

 

 

Sir Samuel Chukwudi Eze is the Executive Director, Strategy & Business Development. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in 1986 and a Master's Degree in Politics and Administration in 1988.  On graduation, he joined the Jones Group through its subsidiary, J.O. Eze & Sons Limited in 1989 rising to the post of General Manager Western zone, where he headed Business Development and Marketing. In 1995, he moved over to Jones Alucon Limited, another subsidiary of Jones Group involved in Construction and again took charge of Business Development but was later deployed to Jones Fisheries Limited as Regional Director of Marketing where he worked between1998 and 2000. He was appointed as an Executive Director of Dee Jones Petroleum and Gas Limited in 2001 at its inception and is charged with the responsibility for strategic expansion of the business and distillates trading unit of the company. He was later appointed as Head Trader, a position he occupies till date.

Sir S. C. Eze has over 23years' management experience in top management cadre. He has to his credit several middle and Senior Level Management courses and seminars in Nigeria and abroad in Management, Oil Trading and Finance. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Directors with vast experience and vision which has helped in painstaking creation of the Dee Jones Brand. His strength of foresight has been instrumental in developing new business directions for the company. His well horned professional negotiating skills remain a reckoning on Dee Jones negotiating table.  He was appointed Head Trader of the Company in 2008 a position he holds till date. He heads the Committee on New Businesses and Strategy. He is also a member of the Committees on Construction as well as Tax and Audit. Sir Samuel Chudi Eze is a Knight of Saint Christopher in the Anglican Communion and loves golf, Lawn Tennis, reading and Politics. He is married with children and sits on the board of many companies. 

Sir R. C. Eze has over 24 years' management experience in top management cadre.  He has attended Senior Management Training Courses in Nigeria and abroad. His rich experience spreads across Marketing, Brand Management, Human Resources and Finance in several industries. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Directors and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). He is an experienced and versatile manager of men and resources. Commanding the respect of his peers and subordinates, he drives the resources of the company to achieve its objectives. He is an active footballer, loves politics and music and is married with children. Sir R. C. Eze a Knight of Saint Christopher in the Anglican Communion and a leader in his home community also serves on the board of several companies. He is also Head of the Company's Ethics and Rewards Committee as well as the Tax and Audit Committee.

 

 

 

 

Sir Jonah O. Eze

Chairman

 

Sir Jonah Onyebuchi Eze is the Chairman of Dee Jones Petroleum and Gas Limited.  He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Directors and an accomplished Industrialist.  He is also chairman of many other associated companies in fish and cold storage business, vegetable oil mill processing, Oil Drilling and Services and Construction.  Sir Eze is a shrewd business strategist with business engagements with wide spectrum of investors and businesses across the globe.  He has been in business since the '30s starting with the timber trade in the South West of Nigeria; from which he furthered into import and distribution of electronics, power products and Licensed Arms/ammunition as well as Marine and Energy Services.

Sir Eze possesses vast experience in organization and management of commercial business.  He is widely travelled and promoter of cohesive and disciplined family business in the modern Nigeria. He is an accomplished businessman and highly respected community Leader; a Grand Patron of the Anambra Chapter of the Nigerian Civil Defense Corp and Patron of the Nigeria Red Cross.  Sir Jonah Eze is also a member of the Knight of Saint Christopher in the Anglican communion.  He is a very strict father and it reflects in the way and well knit manner his children were brought up.

 

 

 

 

Eric K. Eze

Executive Director Operations

 

Engineer Eric K. Eze is the Executive Director Operations where he oversees the Companies shipping and Commercial operations. He has an HND in Quantity Surveying, a Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering and Masters in International Relations and Strategic Studies. On graduation, he worked with Loto Oil Limited in 1993, a petroleum product marketing with retail outlets in the South west. There he learnt the rudiments of petroleum products marketing. He later joined Diamond Dredging and Construction Limited in 1999, where he horned his skills in marine operations and vessel management until 2002 when he joined Dee Jones as Executive Director Operations overseeing Assets and Marine Operations as well as Fleet and Field Staff management. He is key to the Companies liaisons with PPMC refinery and offshore trading operations.

An Associate member of the Institute of Directors, Engr. Eric K. Eze has undergone ample training in the areas of Operations Management, Shipping, Vessel Operations, Personnel Management, Procurement, Disaster Management and Fire and Environmental Safety in both the United States and Nigeria.  His experiences in Project Management, International Procurement, offshore operations have come to bear largely in his function as Head of Operations and Commercial for the company.  He has over 20 years' industry experience in various capacities, over half of which has been spent in Management. He is a member of the Institute of Surveyors and Management; the Institute of Directors and Chartered Institute of Management. Engr. Eric Eze is head of the Procurement Committee of the Company. He is also an active member of the Companies Trading table and member of the Committees on Construction and the Ethics and Awards. He loves Sports and Politics and is married with children.

 

 

 

 

Roselyn U. Samuels

Executive Director Technical Services / Depot Operations

 

Engineer Roselyn Samuels is the Executive Director of Technical Services and Storage Terminals Operations where she oversees Engineering and technical support among other key functions. She has over 22years' industrial Engineering experience, 16 of which have been in the management cadre. She worked in the Research and Development of the Delta Steel Company Limited Ovwian-Aladja developing new and improved products and processes for the Power and Steel sector between 1990 and 1994. In 1995, she served as Technical Assistant to the DGM Technical Services and Environment where she had oversight function on the activities in Quality Control, Engineering Designs and Projects, Fire and Safety and Environmental Management Systems. In 1996, she worked in Oil and Gas Consulting for Samuels Oil and Gas Limited where she partnered with others in consulting for Company start-ups, feasibility, Organization and Performance Improvement. She joined Dee Jones Petroleum and Gas Limited as a Terminal Manager in 2002. She was appointed to the Board of Dee Jones Petroleum and Gas Ltd in 2006.

Engineer Roselyn Samuels possesses a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics. She is a professional member of the Council of Registered Engineers (COREN); member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE); member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME); member of the American Society of Chemical Engineers (ASCE).  She is also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Management and member of the Institute of Directors. She heads the Company's committee on Construction and Recruitment. She is member of the Committees on Procurement, Ethics and Awards as well as Tax and Audit. She has undergone Senior Level courses in Management, Finance and Facility and Environmental management. She is Incident Controller in the Company's Emergency Response Management System and a trained Port Facility Security Officer under the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code of the International Maritime Organization. Engr. Roselyn Samuels was appointed in 2010 as Assistant Trader in the Supply of the Companies distillates trade obligations a position she occupies till date. A recipient of the Sir Henry Dunant Red Cross Award, Engr. Roselyn Samuels also sits on the board of many companies. She is married with children and loves music and sports.

 

 

 

 

 

Moses C. Eze

Executive Director Finance

 

Moses Ifeanyichukwu Eze is the Executive Director, Finance. He possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Co-operative Economics and an MBA in Banking and Finance. Upon his graduation, he joined the International Merchant Bank (IMB) now First Inland Merchant Bank in 2001 where he learnt the rudiments of Banking Operations, Account Reconciliation and Asset and Portfolio management. He was invited to Dee Jones Petroleum as Assets Manager in 2004, where he assisted in all aspects of the administrative, financial, capital and operations of Loans Facilities for petroleum trading and Construction until his appointment to the board as Executive Director Asset Management in 2006. He was later appointed to the opposition of Executive Director Finance in 2009.

Mr. Moses I. Eze has over 12 years' experience in Finance. He has undergone various senior management training in Banking Operations, Account Reconciliation, Asset and Portfolio Management, Financial Accounting, Financial Modeling and Budgeting.  His area of strength is Asset Management and Financial Controls.  He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD); a Chartered Member of the National Institute of Management (NIM) and Affiliate member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is also Honorary Life Patron of the Nigerian Red Cross and a member of  the Orumba Forum; a group of selected influential leaders of the Orumba North and South Local Government Areas of Anambra State. He is a Sports and classical music enthusiast.
